About the event
The Rose Valley Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) is sponsoring a cleanup-day at Saul Wildlife
Preserve on Sunday May 7 th , 2023. We will be removing invasive plants , grooming trails, moving dead
limbs away from the trails and planting Scarlet Oak trees. There is work for all ages and abilities. If you
can, bring a friend or come with your family to enjoy a day with your neighbors, make some new friends
and help care for your community’s beautiful wildlife sanctuary.
Work will begin at 9:00 am and go until 5 pm, gathering at the parking lot behind the Old Mill. If you can
only come for a couple of hours please do. Every volunteer hour makes a difference and we will do our
best to find a meaningful, satisfying activity for everyone. There will be snacks and beverages, but if you
plan to work the whole day, you should plan to bring a lunch. Gloves and tools will be available for those
who need them. Jim Audley of the EAC will be on hand to guide and assist throughout the day.
If you plan to come, please send Jim an email indicating the number of people in your party, what times
you will be available and the type of work you’d prefer to do. Contact info is jimaudley@aol.com 484
