Crafting Our Sustainable Future

To celebrate Rose Valley's centennial in 2023, sponsored by the Rose Valley Environmental Advisory Council, borough residents and organizations will collaborate to envision and starting working to secure Rose Valley’s next one hundred years.

The United Nations identifies sustainability as "meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."(citation)

Through a year-long series of educational events and community forums, borough stakeholders will explore this concept of community sustainability and determine how it applies to Rose Valley today.  We will learn about the biggest opportunities for us to strengthen our community and align our current lifestyles with the needs of both the environment and future generations. We also will identify both individual and borough-wide sustainability goals and start developing viable, sustainable practices to help all Rose Valley stakeholders craft a community that can thrive for another hundred years to come.
